Corn production is projected to increase by 58% this year, but the dollar value of exports is only up by 20%.

Corn production is expected to increase by 58% this year, however export amount in dollars has only increased by 20%. Despite the anticipated rise in production, the decline in international prices would limit the dollar income from corn sales. Corn is Argentina’s second most important agricultural export, contributing significantly to the country’s economy. Projections of increased production and exports skew the overall value of corn exports as they are expected to decrease slightly, representing 9.5% of Argentina’s total exports in 2024. https://lnkd.in/dgw9Ha-U
