Mar del Plata Port
Mar del Plata is a city and port located in the Argentine Sea coast in the southeast in the province of Buenos Aires.
The main activities include the port and tourism industry. The port of Mar del Plata is an artificial harbor enclosed by two major piers, the North Pier and South Pier. Its main activity is fishing, but also receives oil tankers, grain and has a passenger terminal.
Mar del Plata has an overseas port that concentrates most of the fishing activity around the country. It is an important fishing center, counting also with two major naval shipyards (Contessi and SPIs).
